Planning-ness Grant 2014 Finalists

After an amazing inaugural year, 2014 saw another great crop of Planning-ness Grant applications.

While we are still make the final decision, we’re very pleased to announce the finalists for this year’s grant award. They are (in no particular order):

  • The Post Modern Joneses from The King’s Indian: an ethnographic study of how the foundational economic shifts seen in the last recession impact family dynamics now and in the near future.
  • The Emergence and Implications of “The Transitional Consumer” from Valerie Esqueda and Emily Hicks: a proposal to test the hypothesis that as people go through life, they experience their lives in a more non-linear “LifePlace” fashion vs. a more traditional linear approach.
  • The Open Source Strategy Platform from Firstborn: a project to build a community-developed, free and open source platform for learning, practicing and advancing the field of strategic thinking.
